Joan Taylor represents the nursing profession at the Divisional Leadership Team contributing to the strategic development for Specialist Mental Health Services. The Director of Nursing in conjunction with the Nurse Consultants for each service area, comprise the Nursing Directorate. The Nursing Directorate is responsible for the provision of senior nursing advice, leadership and governance of nursing practice for the full range of mental health services provided by the CDHB.

Also for ensuring that consumer needs are met through the provision of high quality, cost effective specialist mental health services.

She has responsibility to the Director of Mental Health for the day to day administration of the Mental Health Compulsory Assessment and Treatment Act 1992, at a regional level. He has responsibility to the Director of Mental Health for the day to day administration of the Mental Health Compulsory Assessment and Treatment Act 1992, at a regional level.

Long Description:

The Customer Services Coordinator for Specialist Mental Health Service and Older Persons Health Services is responsible for managing all aspects of the CDHB Complaints Policy and Procedure for this service. They are also responsible for coordinating, designing and analysing consumer satisfaction surveys, and for establishing and maintaining Interpreter Information Packs and the database for the use of both services. The Customer Services Coordinator is also one of the CDHB designated Privacy Officers and is available for in-service training in both the Health Information Privacy Code and the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers Rights.

Long Description:

Sal Faid coordinates the provision of consumer input and advice to all the Specialist Mental Health Services with particular emphasis on policy and planning, service development and delivery, and evaluation. John, along with other members of the team, use a wide range of methods and work constructively with the clinical and administrative staff and service users with the overall aim of improving the quality of service provision for consumers.
