STEPPING STONE TRUST
Stepping Stone Trust is a not-for-profit Charitable Trust organisation that offers a range of community-based support services for adults, youth and families who live in Canterbury and are affected by mental illness. We provide an Adult and Youth Residential Service, a Crisis and Planned Respite Service and a variety of community based services. Services include: Adult Residential: Supports people (18 years and over) with 24/7 staffing. Referral is through specialist mental health Residential Options Group (ROG). Youth Services: Offers an array of options to support youth aged 14-20 years, including a residential service, respite (short term care), mobile support (visiting youth in their own home). Contact the Referrals Coordinator on 03 337 6644 ext 735 for details. Adult Respite: Planned and crisis respite options for people requiring short term care in a staffed house. Contact the Planned Respite Team to book a room on 03 339 6120. Crisis respite is accessed through GP or specialist mental health referral. Community Support Work (CSW): Visits both youth and adults in their own homes every week. Referrals are made through a central point at www.comcare.org.nz/referral-forms Mobile Medication Service: Delivers medication up to twice a day to people living in their own homes. Specialist mental health case managers and clinicians can refer people to the service. Contact the Service Coordinator on 03 331 6076.
